about

The name 'Odilon' comes from the name of the 19th century French Symbolist painter Odilon Redon. This album was largely inspired by 'Wish You Were Here' by Pink Floyd. I wanted to create a shorter work that felt expansive and long. "Dance of the Veils," track 3 on 'Odilon,' clocks in at nearly 24 minutes and never strays from its course. Other songs, "Fighting Temeraire" and "Sail for the Dawn," are more than 10 minutes each.

I really love this album and hope that you will give it a chance. Once upon a time on YouTube, you could see a 1922 silent film adaption of 'Salomé' by Oscar Wilde set with 'Odilon' as the score. I still have a copy of this production, and it may just see that light of day again.
